The English study of 25-degree water temperature laundry is the most environmentally friendly, but is it washed clean?

Researchers at the University of Leeds in the UK found that washing clothes with 25 degrees Celsius water is the most environmentally friendly for half an hour, with less microfibre and color lasting longer.

However, can clothes really be washed clean in a fast, lower temperature environment?

British Report, Lucy Cotton said that the water temperature used by the washing machine during the experiment was 25 degrees, but the clothes sent to the washing machine for testing were not dirty clothes, and the research only measured the output of microfibers and dyes.

Carton said, "We are not testing for cleaning. What's useful about this research is to leave the responsibility of cleaning and no cleaning to laundry cleaning agent manufacturers. Can they clean clothes under cold water and fast conditions?"

Love Your Clothes, a British Wastewater and Resources Action Plan (WRAP), believes that a water temperature of 30 degrees is considered cold water. However, the EU's Ecodesign stipulated in 2013 that new washing machines must have 20-degree cold water washing options.

According to the Energy Saving Trust, washing clothes with 20 degrees of water saves 40% of energy and 66% of energy than washing clothes with 30 degrees of water.

"What?" The magazine compared the washing clothes at 20 degrees and 40 degrees water temperatures, and found that the only difference is that olive oil cannot be washed off in 20 degrees water temperatures.
