The Central Gas Bureau predicts that the Northeast's quarterly trend has increased recently and the temperature has dropped. The Ministry of Interior reminds today that people often close doors and windows due to cold weather, causing air to not circulate. If the water heater is not installed properly and the waste gas caused by gas burning cannot be discharged smoothly, it may lead to poisoning. Therefore, people are called to use gas heater and maintain external ventilation to ensure the safety of themselves and their families.
The Ministry of Interior pointed out that from 2017 to 2021, a total of 161 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning occurred, of which about 77% (124) were caused by the installation of outdoor water heaters in places with poor ventilation. Remind the public to avoid adding doors, rain covers or drying a large amount of clothes to block the wind when installing outdoor water heaters in the room to prevent danger. The Ministry of Interior said that 17 carbon monoxide poisoning incidents have occurred this year, killing 3 people and sending 42 people to medical treatment, a decrease of 62% from 45 cases in the same period last year.
To avoid related regrets, when installing gas water heaters, you must abide by the five principles of "safe brand", "correct type", "safe installation", "regular repair" and "maintaining wind". Choose the correct model and the CNS inspection mark according to the ventilation conditions, and use it by qualified contracting technical personnel, regularly repair or eliminate water heaters.
If there is enough space, it is recommended to move the gas barrel outdoors or outside the house to avoid gas leakage and accumulation and gas explosion accidents.
