
Global Finance and Technology Cyber issued a statement on Thursday (July 3) to announce the news, pointing out that Queen Maxima is also the Special Representative for the Inclusive Finance (UNSGSA) of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
In addition to Queen Maxima, other new members of the committee include former Mexican central bank governor Agustín Carstens and Sanjiv Bajaj, the fourth-generation entrepreneur of the Indian Bajaj family.
Their term of office will take effect from July 1 this year.
Global Finance and Technology Network is a Singapore-based nonprofit organization that mainly utilizes technology and innovation to create more efficient, resilient and inclusive financial systems through global cooperation.
The Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN), a subsidiary of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, has appointed Queen Máxima of the Netherlands as chairman of the organization's international advisory committee.
