Amkor invests 2 billion "replacement construction factory", Peoria replaces Vistancia as a new base

Amkor Technology, Inc., the world's leading semiconductor packaging and testing service provider, announced that it will adjust its address plan for its newly built advanced packaging and testing factory in Arizona.

According to the official news, the new factory will be invested in Peoria Innovation Core in northern Peoria, Arizona, with a ground volume of 104 British dollars. The Peoria Municipal Council has unanimously approved the land exchange and revision development agreement to allow Amkor to exchange 56 British tracts originally planned in the Five North at Vistancia community with this base. The new factory is expected to be operated recently and will be officially invested in early 2028.

Giel Rutten, President and Executive Director of Amkor, said: "As the largest advanced packaging company in the United States, Amkor is proud to invest in US semiconductor manufacturing and strengthen US semiconductor supply chains."

Peoria Mayor Jason Beck pointed out that this collaboration could bring the community a $2 billion investment and 2,000 employment opportunities, while strengthening Peoria's strategic position in the key semiconductor supply chain in the United States. He emphasized that this symbolizes the outcome of long-term planning and public-private cooperation.

Amkor has been operating in the Phoenix area since 1984. It is the largest advanced packaging and testing service company in the United States. It is ranked among the top ones in the world, along with Sun and Moonlight, Silicon Products, Chang Electric Technology, etc. In the future, Amkor pointed out that it will carry out mobile phone power and other international semiconductor companies to provide advanced packaging and testing services with high capacity, so as to take the planning of localized American chips to go a step further.
