Liverpool new player Wilz talked about his decision to join Liverpool in an interview with "Kickers".

Did you decide to play football abroad because it is more challenging and more conducive to personal development than joining Bayern?

"I have lived in the Cologne area all my life, with my parents and core circles of relatives and friends. Therefore, leaving the familiar environment, moving to another country to face all changes, and adapting to a new league with different styles is a more difficult step. So, I will definitely say, this is a bigger challenge, a challenge I intend to overcome and become a better player."

Public information said that the talks with Slott and Kompani played a decisive role. How did Slott convince you?

"From the beginning, my exchange with Slot was very, very pleasant. He moved me when he first met. He clearly explained his ideas and vision, told me how to use me in his team and what role I want me to play. Coupled with the overall structure of the team, it really convinced me. He wanted me to play No. 10, which is where I am best at. They introduced me for this position because I believe I can improve the team. And I am doing my best to live up to this trust."

If I were working with Musiara at Bayern, would it be different?

"It's hard to say. I'm not sure how things will go."

Is choosing Liverpool or Bayern the hardest decision in your life so far?

"I always felt like I could do what I wanted to do. So, I didn't put pressure on myself to make decisions quickly. I've thought deeply about both clubs and finally making a decision was not easy. But I made a choice with 100% belief and am now happy with it."
