About Brazilian teenager Esteban
Trabelsi: "I think he is a rising new football talent, very young. He is performing very well, and I think he has the full potential to join the ranks of great players in the next few years and become one of the best players in the world."
Esteban joined Chelsea from Palmeiras this summer for a transfer fee of 29 million pounds, and quickly adapted to the rhythm of the Premier League. He has become a regular starter for Chelsea coach Maresca.
Trabelsi said: "If he can continue to perform well or win important championships in the club or national team, then in the next few years, he may participate in the competition for the Ballon d'Or."
In Brazil's 2-0 friendly win over Senegal last Saturday, Estevao started and scored his fourth goal on behalf of Brazil. After the game, Brazilian head coach Ancelotti gave him high praise: "It is surprising to see such a young player with such talent. He is very accurate and very lethal. With him, Brazil's future is guaranteed."
Trabelsi agreed with Ancelotti's statement.
Trabelsi said: "He can bring many solutions, his skills are extremely good, and his talent is amazing. There are not many players with this level of talent in world football."
