A Manchester City fan with the account "dmmcfc" posted that his Manchester City season ticket seats were affected due to stadium expansion.
The fan: "I have held a season ticket for 44 years and have had the same seat from day one.
My North Stand seat will be taken back next season, allegedly to maximize corporate income, which is a "shame" I think This is my last season."

Manchester City Club has informed some season ticket holders that their current seats will be affected due to the expansion plan of the North Stand. The club will build a new enhanced bar experience area and event center called the "City Hall" at the rear of the North Stand on Level 0 - the original Level 1. This area will be allocated to new ticket holders from the 2026/27 season, which directly affects the existing seats for fans who have received notice.
The club acknowledged this was "disturbing news" and pledged its support. Affected fans will be given priority for relocation and can choose any available general admission seats in the stadium, including moving to the expanded New Taipei Stand or staying at another location on Level 0. As compensation, the club guarantees that its ticket prices will remain unchanged for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, regardless of which area it is relocated to, even if it is a more expensive one.
Fans can also choose to retain their existing seats, but will be subject to a new enhanced bar experience and new standard rates for the space, which will mean increased prices. In addition, the club offers the possibility to relocate with friends or family members who are not directly affected.
The club emphasized that fans do not need to make any decisions at this time. Specific details on available seats will be announced in early 2026, with selections taking place during the 2026/27 season ticket renewal window, which opens later in the season.
