21-year-old Stephenson returned to Liverpool and went to Asia for a tournament with Slott's team. He performed well during his loan to Dundee United in the 2024-25 season. Stephenson played for Slott last summer before joining Dundee United.

He was very surprised to have the opportunity to show himself in front of the coach again: "A little surprise, yes. There are not many young players in the team this time, mainly veterans. When I came last year, there were many young players, and this year, more veterans. It feels better to be able to train with these veterans and learn from them."

Liverpool conducted its first training in Hong Kong, and Stephenson: "We just arrived yesterday, and today is the first training. I am very tall Come back. I worked hard last season and had a very good loan period, so all the efforts were worth it, allowing me to come back here to participate in this tour. The level here is very high. Although today's training is just to get everyone into the form after a long flight, the intensity is still very strong and very sharp. The level is simply incredible. "

During my time in Scotland, Stephenson made 34 appearances in various competitions and was selected as the best young player for Dundee United. He also contributed three goals. Stephenson said: "This experience is interesting! I played central defender against Preston, which is not my natural position. But because I played a lot of positions last season, I have become accustomed to learning in the game. Obviously, I had a lot of good teammates around me last season, and he was coaching me when I played central defender with Joe Gomez last week. I think all-round is an advantage, and it will only be good for you. If I can't play so many positions, the chances will be reduced and I will be limited to one position."

Currently, Stephenson is focused on getting as much playing time as possible in Liverpool's preseason. Next, Liverpool will play a friendly match against AC Milan in Hong Kong and then play against Yokohama Mariners in Japan.

Speaking of short-term goals, he said: "Eat as much as possible in the preseason and continue to learn. These experiences are invaluable to young players. I will cherish every training and keep learning."
