The first case in China, there are strange things every year, and this year there are a lot. Now I want to talk about something that will subvert your views and be unheard of. This is the first time I heard of it. I was shocked. It was so amazing: a cat bites a person, but the cat died...

It is reported that a woman was infected with the new Bunia virus after being bitten by a cat? Recently, a woman from Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine wanted to test her mother for poison. The doctor on duty asked for the reason. It turned out that the lady's mother, Aunt Sun, was bitten by her own cat more than ten days ago, but not long after, the cat died.

Aunt Sun was bitten and immediately went to get rabies vaccination, but after that, he continued to have low fever, dizziness, and had no energy to eat and vomit. So his family thought the cat was poisoned and Aunt Sun might have been poisoned, so she came to the hospital for examination.

After knowing the reason, the examination was completed, and the doctor looked at the examination report and found that things were not simple. Finally, it was confirmed that Aunt Sun had an infection, but the pathogens of the infection were unknown, which may be a special infection such as cat scratching fever. If delayed, it may cause kidney failure.

So I immediately arranged to be hospitalized and organized for expert consultation. Finally, the mystery was solved a few days later. Second-generation sequencing of Aunt Sun's peripheral blood genes suggested that the new Bunia virus infection ruled out the possibility of cat claw fever caused by Hanse-Baltonite. What is the new Bunia virus?

This virus, also known as fever and thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTSV), is a new type of RNA virus discovered in ticks in 2009. It can cause dysfunction of fever organs, with a mortality rate of 6% to 30%. The source and carriers of

SFTSV are still unknown, but ticks are considered to be the most common transmission vector and can be transmitted in the population through blood contact, etc., but human-human transmission, the incubation period is shorter than tick bites, the symptoms are mild, and the prognosis of early diagnosis and treatment is good.

Review relevant literature, this patient is the first domestic case of a cat bite infecting the new Bunia virus. There is only one case of a cat bite in the world that causes the new Bunia virus infection: A Japanese woman unfortunately died of illness after a cat bite. An autopsy found that she was severe multi-organ failure caused by infection with the new Bunia virus.

Therefore, it cannot be simply believed that in China, infection is only through tick bites. It may also be that cats are infected with SFTSV and are transmitted from the bite to the patient through saliva. The patient suffers from SFTSV after being bitten by the sick cat.

The treatment plan for Aunt Sun was adopted by the hospital, which was anti-infection and protecting organs. Later, she was transferred to the infectious department for further treatment. Everything was well recovered and was discharged from the hospital on November 15th.
