A feisty feline jumped off a 40ft (12.2m) balcony just to get some sweet love, but ended up with a broken leg...
Naughty Molly was in the prime of her life and her owners did their best to keep her out and prevent her from getting knocked over - but those efforts were no match for a randy kitten.
Molly jumped four stories from her apartment balcony and was found with a broken leg and pelvis. A passerby kindly took him to the vet and he is now on the mend.
The saddest thing about it is that in the end, it never mated.
Mayhew animal welfare manager Zoe Edwards told SWNS: "We suspect Molly managed to break through the safety net on her balcony because she was in heat. "When a female cat is in heat, they will be restless and hormonal, and their instincts will make them go to great lengths to find a male cat - which may be what makes Molly so eager to break through. "
