In total, Aunt Qian Fengying is already 60 years old this year.
Confucius said that at sixty, one's ears are attuned. At the age of sixty, one is no longer afraid of the sound of curses and can hear offensive words. The same is true for Aunt Qian, but she is always very persistent about one thing.
With the hot weather for days, Aunt Qian went out at noon every day and didn’t come back until midnight. The younger daughter couldn't stand it and said she shouldn't go out on such a hot day.
Aunt Qian said: "How can that be done? If I don't keep an eye on the weather like this, the cats and dogs may be killed!"
Most of these cats and dogs are disabled and abandoned by their owners. Aunt Qian has been adopting stray cats and dogs for 21 years. Currently, she has adopted more than 150 stray dogs and 50 stray cats.

Aunt Qian, who was born and raised in Xinqiao, Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, is not an animal protectionist. In her own words, "I don't even know a few words, so how can I understand those things!"
However, this ordinary peasant woman has adopted abandoned stray cats and dogs almost single-handedly for 21 years.
What makes her persist is nothing more than her original heart - the left half is compassion, and the right half is called responsibility.
Rented a warehouse for 11 years
Built a pet home of more than 300 square meters
Aunt Qian has a "dog warehouse" about 20 minutes' drive from her home. The location is a bit remote, close to the railway bridge and inaccessible.
I have been renting the warehouse here for 11 years. Whenever I mention it, Aunt Qian is still grateful. At that time, more and more cats and dogs were being adopted, and the neighbors couldn't bear it. Aunt Qian successively found four resettlement sites, the farthest being in Puyan, more than 10 miles away.
I found this place later with the help of kind-hearted people. The boss is enthusiastic and the rent is 7,000 yuan a year, but the price has not increased in 11 years. Aunt Qian bought the materials herself and hired craftsmen to transform the warehouse into a pet home of more than 300 square meters with more than 30 small rooms.
It was hot a few days ago, and Aunt Qian purchased two new large electric fans to cool down the cats and dogs. "Many of them are not in good health and can't stand the heat. Now there are about 18 electric fans, and almost all the wind can blow them." It has been raining these days, and she has no time to spare. "The dogs that have been here for a long time are fine, but the new ones are very afraid of rain and thunder, so they have to be comforted all the time."
Name each cat and dog
Get familiar with their different personalities
Aunt Qian, who is not very illiterate, gave each cat and dog a name, and she is also familiar with their different personalities.
Yesterday at 12:30 noon, as soon as the sound of Aunt Qian’s electric tricycle came, the dogs started making a fuss. Aunt Qian also greeted them from afar: "Maomao, come in, don't press the black melon... Hey, don't jump..." Aunt Qian said with a smile that these names were chosen at random, including place names like Jiangxi and Henan.
It is hard to imagine that this lady who can identify common diseases of cats and dogs, go to the veterinarian to prepare medicines, and give injections to cats and dogs has never had any contact with cats and dogs before she was 38 years old. That year, a little girl moved next door to Aunt Qian. The little girl was busy at work and had no time to take care of the pet dog, so she asked Aunt Qian to "keep an eye on it". Sometimes the dog starved, and she felt guilty and pitiful, so she took the trouble to take care of it.
Later, the little girl moved away and left the pet dog to Aunt Qian. "Some are limping, and some have rotten skin. It feels really uncomfortable to look at them." Since then, Aunt Qian has adopted abandoned cats and dogs when she met them. Several times, the dog owner even threw the dog into the river, but Aunt Qian went to fish it back.
Most of these stray cats and dogs are sick or disabled. "Some of them were thrown away when they were born. I picked them up and kept them for a while and gave them to enthusiastic people to raise. But the dogs here... you see, that Tibetan mastiff is blind, that Pekingese's leg was broken by a car, and that golden retriever is liked by many people, but it has epilepsy. , sometimes it happens..."
He consumes 60 kilograms of rice every day.
He often asks his daughter to borrow money.
When he first adopted a stray dog, Aunt Qian's husband was still alive. The couple ran a teahouse and their family was well off. However, 10 years ago, my husband died of cancer, and the medical teahouse was also transferred. Aunt Qian, who lost her income, did not let go of these cats and dogs.
Early in the morning, Aunt Qian made food for more than 200 cats and dogs as usual, using 60 kilograms of rice every day. "It's too much for dogs and cats, so I can only eat what they eat." In addition to delivering food to the cats and dogs, Aunt Qian also has to clean more than 30 "single rooms" and clean hundreds of mattresses and quilts in winter. I am busy every day until 12 o'clock at night and don't go back home all year round. I even spend the Chinese New Year with cats and dogs.
With so many cats and dogs, it costs a lot of money a year. Aunt Qian's daughter said that excluding the rent, it would cost about 100,000 yuan. This does not include the cost of neutering and treating dogs and cats. A few days ago, Aunt Qian asked her daughter to borrow 5,000 yuan. Her daughter was very angry with her, saying that every time she asked to borrow, she never paid it back. "My daughter also feels sorry for me. She talks about it and supports me in her heart. However, the eldest daughter has been sick and the younger daughter is divorced. Life is not easy."
Aunt Qian said that if anyone can help send some rice, it would be very grateful. But don’t forget about donating money. “When the money is in my hands, others don’t know where I spend it. It’s not good or bad.”
In Aunt Qian’s view, her health is not bad, and she takes care of cats and dogs. “As long as I am still here, I will definitely be responsible to the end.”
