Kazakhstan team Almaty Keilat advanced to the Champions League for the first time. According to the new Champions League system, four different teams will go to Kazakhstan to play away games in the group stage.
None of the major European cities have direct flights to Almaty. Only Frankfurt and Budapest can fly directly, which takes 5-6 hours. Other cities must pass the transfer flight to Almaty if they want to fly to Almaty.
The main transit hubs are Istanbul, Dubai and Frankfurt, which take more than 10 hours. It takes 10-15 hours to transfer through Istanbul and Frankfurt, and 14-20 hours to transfer through Dubai.
This does not count the time to leave home to the airport and check in in advance.
Take Paris as an example. Even if you take a 13-hour joint ticket, including the departure from home to the airport, early check-in, flight time, transit time, and total time from Almaty Airport to the hotel, it is likely to exceed 18 hours.
