Many pet owners will develop a good habit for their dogs to urinate outside when they are young. However, during the previous epidemic, both pets and people needed to be isolated at home. Dogs who could not go out to urinate would hold back their urine at home. However, it is not good for dogs to hold back their urine for a long time. How to solve it? Let's take a look together.

1. Prepare a dog toilet for the dog

If the owner does not have time to take the dog out for a walk, he can prepare a fixed dog toilet for the dog at home, and try to buy some turf, artificial grass and other items to put in it to create the feeling of an outdoor lawn. When the dog wants to pee, you can lock the dog in the toilet until the dog urinates and then releases it.

Note: The place chosen for the dog toilet must be kept away from where the dog eats and sleeps, so that the dog is more willing to pee in the designated place.

2. Training the dog

If the dog develops the habit of urinating outside, it will not urinate at home, so the owner can usually train the dog's urinating behavior at home. When you find that your dog has excretion behaviors such as turning in circles or half-squatting, you can lead the dog to a fixed excretion place or dog toilet at home, and then encourage it to urinate.

Note: After the dog has finished excreting, the owner can reward the dog with certain snacks to let the dog know that there will be food for peeing in this place. Over time, the dog will develop the habit of excreting in a fixed place.
